Rear washer leak or wiper parking fault?
Certain A6 C8 Avant and Allroad models share the rear wiper motor family used in our successfully repaired 2019 Audi Q8.

On my Q8, a washer-fluid leak developed inside the tailgate and eventually led to heavy corrosion and rear-wiper parking trouble. After working through the fault, I was able to retain the original motor and stop the leak with a compatible replacement seal.
The 4K9 955 711 motor family is also associated with Audi A6 C8 Avant and Allroad variants. That makes the repair worth investigating if your estate has a similar leak or a rear wiper that doesn't return to its normal parked position.

Signs worth recognising
- Washer fluid or coloured staining inside the tailgate or near the boot latch
- A rear washer that works but leaks after spraying
- A rear wiper that parks in an unusual position or no longer operates reliably
- Corrosion or moisture found when the motor is inspected
Repair options
FixInstead offers a seal-and-guide option for owners who already have their tools, as well as a more complete kit including a wiper-arm puller, trim-removal tools and selected supplies. Both include the detailed illustrated guide from the Q8 repair.
The practical starting point is the motor reference and the assembly arrangement. My hands-on repair was on the Q8, rather than a separate A6 dismantling.
